Today I’ll be reviewing Missha M Perfect Cover, Missha’s bestselling BB Cream. If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you may remember my review on Missha M Signature Real Complete BB Cream. Just like its sister, Perfect Cover is a great BB cream, with the major difference being coverage. Perfect Cover is a bit heavier and ideal for masking blemishes, whereas Signature Real Complete is a bit more lightweight and medium coverage.

The facts:

UV Protection (SPF 42 PA+++)
Whitening
Anti-wrinkle
Medium-heavy coverage
Dewy finish
Comes in two sizes (30ml and 50ml)
Comes in five shades (#13 Milky Beige, #21 Light Beige, #23 Natural Beige, #27 Honey Beige, and #31 Golden Beige)

From Missha:

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation.

I received samples in #21, Light Beige. It oxidized fairly well on my skin, but I imagine #13 Milky Beige would also work for my skin tone (which never seems as pale in photos, for some reason). Despite being medium-to-heavy coverage, it’s still easily spreadable. It doesn’t absorb that great on my skin, but maybe that’s just the ‘dewy’ effect. I don’t dig that, because it looks like the ‘greasy’ effect on my face. Gross. But nothing a little powder won’t matte right up!

Normally I don’t like using high coverage BB creams because they feel so heavy on my skin, and they tend to break me out, as well as turn me into a huge greasebomb. I tend to use them more as spot concealers on top of a lightweight BB cream. However, Perfect Cover still manages to feel light on my skin… and I didn’t break out! Not that it makes a difference as my skin is crap right now anyway. But you understand. In any case, I did appreciate the high coverage of this due to my blemishy skin right now. It certainly helped even the skin tone and smooth the texture. Goodbye broken capillaries! And like I said, the finish is dewy, so if you ain’t into that, follow up with a powder.

Like most heavy coverage BB creams, as well as BB creams with high SPF, there’s not a ton of oil control here. My T-zone started acting up within an hour, but I think I might be some sort of freak so it probably won’t be that bad for everyone.

Finished face, with powder. Bless you, powder. Also trying out my new Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Red Revival. I am still terrified by red lipstick but I’m trying to branch out a bit. Review on that product soon to come! Also my photo/tweet about it got retweeted by Maybelline so that was neat. :)

Pros: Excellent coverage, lots of shades to choose from.
Cons: Kind of heavy, not great oil control, a bit too ‘dewy’ for me without powder, a bit pricey but you get a good amount ($30 USD/50ml at MisshaUS.com). You can find cheap samples on eBay, as always.

Final Verdict: Would I purchase the full-size product? Probably not… but only because I like the Missha M Signature Real Complete BB Cream a bit better. If you’re looking for a high coverage BB cream though, I highly recommend that you try this one out.

  1. Funny thing is before I read the end of this post I wanted to say I like it but I prefer Missha M Signature BB cream instead. Although I like this BB cream it feels kinda…heavy on my skin? I just don’t like how it feels and I feel that Missha M Signature gives me a more natural, lighter finish.

  2. I’d love to try a high coverage BB. Thanks for sharing hun :-)

  3. I almost bought this BB cream, but the fact that it said “whitening” is what made me decide not to since I’m already on the verge of being ghastly.
    Good review!
